MINUTES of the March 18, 2014 meeting were reviewed. With the corrected spelling of Shirley Robbins last name, the minutes accepted as written.

TREASURER’S REPORT. Because of an unexpected situation, Jack was unable to give a current financial report. But he promised to review the records and to bring to our attention any problem that might exist.

WELLNESS CENTER Gloria reported 87 contacts during the previous month. The organized groups are continuing to function along with scheduled visits of an LPN, RN, and nutritionist. One problem is that the Wellness Center has run out of funds to provide bus tickets to give to neighborhood residents who need help with transportation for a limited time.

EVICTION PREVENTION Erica reported that during the previous month, eviction prevention funds helped two families stay in their homes and two have been helped with utility bills. She expects to see more requests for help with utility bills in the near future. Erica also mentioned that education has been happening in the neighborhood about paying utility bills.

FOOD PANTRY Eileen reported a recent donation of $100 and $300 spent for supplies. Also $7000 was received from Woodman’s from check-out donations! The food pantry is using that fund to purchase dish and laundry detergents, diapers, and vegetable oil, Other suggested items are lotions, personal care items, cleaning supplies, Dove bar soap, deodorants, fresh eggs, and baby formula cards.

ALLIED/DUNN’S MARSH NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION Eileen mentioned that Panera Bread is looking for recipients of charitable donations. Perhaps the neighborhood association might be considered? There was a recent health fair at the Boys and Girls club. Molly reported that she has put up fliers about legal help available at the County Court House. Volunteer lawyers are present to answer questions and give advice.

NEXT MEETING May 20, 2014 at 4 PM in Classroom A at the Boys and Girls Club.
