Eileen opened the meeting with a reading about "Dreams of Life".

MINUTES OF THE FEBRUARY 4, 2014 MEETING
-Gloria reported her last name was misspelled. Should be Manadier instead of Menadier. Minutes accepted as amended.
-Erica and Gloria reported that they have not been receiving email Allied Partners messages. Eileen will contact Dorothy Krause who has been managing the Goggle Allied Partner account.

FINANCIAL REPORT
-Jack reported that he and Gloria will be making a presentation about Allied Partners at a Friends meeting. They hope to schedule presentations at other congregations.
-The Eviction Prevention fund is doing well at present. Received $1000 each from Westminster women and Bethany United Methodist church.

WELLNESS CENTER
-Gloria reported 73 contacts at the center during February.
-Discussion at Welcomer’s meeting was about depression, bipolar disease, and schizophrenia.
-Recruiting Latino families with help of Spanish speaking volunteer translating materials.
-Merged group working well
-Breakfast Club still meeting Monday mornings with Jackie Hunt as leader.
-Wellness Center and JFF office maintain a closet for personal needs. Bethany UMC has been providing caps, mittens, and scarves.

EVICTION PREVENTION
-Erica reported three persons helped during the last month. Number of requests have decreased, perhaps due to more jobs being available. She expects increased demands this spring when residents need to pay utility bills.

FOOD PANTRY
-Still having decreased attendance at the pantries.
-Woodman’s Grocery Store collected funds and gave the Food Pantry gift cards, so the pantry is currently buying extra items at Woodman’s.

JOINING FORCE FOR FAMILIES
-Erica reported black and hispanic communities are not mixing spontaneously but children are doing relating well in the Learning Center.
-Thank you notes are now being sent to congregations.
