PRESENT: Wynn Davies, Jack Tiffany, Sue Bridson, Linda Ketcham, Gloria Menadier-Farr, Selena Pettigrew, Shirley Robbins, Erica Anderson, and Marge Lyford.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss revisions of the documents to be sent out this fall to membership congregations. Linda volunteered to write draft revisions because of her experience and the training she had received in crafting letters.

- important to emphasize a shared mission throughout the letter

  • aim for a letter to be no longer than one page long
  • formula for undesignated giving...continue 50/50 for special projects and neighborhood association? unresolved. Could be changed by the AP Board.
  • add a check off for “We'd like to hear more about volunteer opportunities”.
  • funds for all projects will be sent to MUM.
  • project descriptions will be included in the body of the cover letter.
  • omit a section on the Allied COOP because at present it is undergoing revisions.
  • congregations can qualify for AP membership through financial support or volunteer service.
  • add invitation for a representative of congregation to attend AP meetings.
  • add question, “would you like a representative of AP to visit your church?”
  • put on an annual breakfast for member congregations and tell about volunteer opportunities?
  • add a short story about the Wellness Center and Neighborhood Association
  • need mailing labels
  • sign off letter with signatures from representatives of each project
  • Linda will send out a revised draft prior to the next meeting. She was thanked for her good work!
